Some features of gta6wave are designed to collect certain types of personal data in order to provide the best user experience. This page provides detailed information about this process, and settings that you can customize.

The settings on this page will be saved locally on your device. Changing any of these settings will take effect immediately. If you're logged in to a gta6wave account, these settings have lower priority than the settings on the Account privacy page. In other words, if your settings on this page conflict with your settings on the Account privacy page, the latter will take priority.

By default, if you have not interacted with the settings on this page or with the privacy popup at the bottom right of the screen, you are opted out of all personal data collection.

What personal data is collected?

IP addresses

If you opt in to this setting, gta6wave will sometimes collect your IP address.

Your IP address is primarily collected to help distinguish you from other users. If you opt out of this setting, you will generally be lumped into an anonymous group with all other opted out users, which may degrade your experience.

Where is the personal data stored?

gta6wave primarily stores personal data in a database. The database is referred to as a single entity, but it actually consists of multiple databases, each of which is hosted by a prominent cloud provider. All data stored by the database is encrypted.

The database is utilized by the gta6wave servers, each of which is hosted by a prominent cloud provider. All communication between the servers and the database is encrypted. All data stored by the servers is encrypted.

The servers are utilized by your device as you use gta6wave. All communication between your device and the servers is encrypted.

gta6wave may also store personal data locally on your device using cookies and web storage.

Who can access the personal data?

Any personal data stored by the database and servers can only be accessed by gta6wave. Any personal data stored locally on your device can only be accessed by gta6wave and your device.

How long is the personal data retained?

If you have a gta6wave account, any personal data stored by the database that is associated with your account will be retained until you use the Account privacy page to delete it, or to delete your account entirely.

Any personal data stored by the database that is unassociated with any account will be retained for up to 14 days.

Any personal data stored by the servers will be retained for up to 14 days.

Any personal data stored locally on your device will be retained until it is deleted by you or your device.

How can I delete my personal data?

If you have a gta6wave account, you can use the Account privacy page to delete certain personal data stored by the database that is associated with your account, or to delete your account entirely.

Any personal data stored by the database that is unassociated with any account will be automatically deleted within 14 days of being stored.

Any personal data stored by the servers will be automatically deleted within 14 days of being stored.

Any personal data stored locally on your device can be deleted using the standard deletion functionality of your device.

Cloud provider data collection

gta6wave's infrastructure is hosted by multiple prominent cloud providers, each of which may collect personal data in their own way, above and beyond gta6wave's control. Whenever possible, gta6wave takes steps to minimize this, but in some cases, it may be unavoidable. Cloud providers generally only collect this data for security and analytics purposes.
